Sports Conditioning
Sports Conditioning for athletic performance requires a type of training which begins where traditional fitness programmes end. Skills and gains made in the gym, field or court must be transferable to the specific sport playing environment. Therefore our approach is to look closely at the athletes sport then implement a programme which will improve:
- balance
- agility
- speed
- quickness
- reactivity
- coordination
- movement skills
- anaerobic conditioing
Athletes who receive proper sports conditioning, instruction and training advice are noticeably bigger, stronger and faster due to advanced training methods and techniques.
Tennis
In a very dynamic, explosive sport, it is important that the athletes training programme matches the intensities experienced during a game. So, working on multi directional speed, co-ordination, agility, strength and power we ensure the athlete maximises their potential and reduces their chance of injury.
Rugby
At all levels rugby is a fast, explosive, high impact sport with multi directional changes. Whether it be on a one to one basis or with a team we work on the field and in the gym to improve the player's speed, power, agility, side step, jump, tackle and position specific fitness to meet the demands of the game.
Golf
Clubs don't play the game, the golfer does! To achieve a lower handicap, the most important thing to do is to improve the function of the golfer. Our approach is based upon improving flexibility, stability, strength and power to improve your skills as a player.
Skiing
The fitter you are the more you will enjoy your ski holiday and reduce the chance of injury. We will condition you in the gym for the repeated stresses you will experience during the long days on the slopes. To achieve this we use a range of innovative techniques to improve specific strength, balance and endurance.
